Privacy notice and privacy policy

If you only browse the site, we don't ask you for any data. There are no forms, no registration and no analytics or advertising cookies.

Like any server, the one hosting this site records technical data about each visit: IP address, date and time, the page requested and the type of browser. It's used only to keep the site running and protect it from attacks, and we don't combine it with any other data. [Pending: how long Hostinger keeps access logs]

If you write to somos@shawnder.com, we process what you send us: your name, your email address and whatever you tell us in your message. We don't ask for sensitive data, and we ask you not to include any.

  • Replying to your message and scheduling the call you ask for.
  • Preparing and sending you a proposal if you request one.

We don't use it to send you advertising, we don't sell it and we don't make automated decisions with it.

We process your data because you write to us asking for information or a proposal, that is, to take steps at your request before a possible contract (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR). Technical server data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).

For as long as the conversation lasts. If we don't end up working together, we delete your email 12 months after the last message. If we do work together, we keep it for as long as the law requires for the business relationship.

No one, except the providers we need for the site and email to work: the web hosting company and the email provider. They process the data on our behalf and only to provide that service. We would also hand it over to an authority if the law required us to.

We work from Mexico City and Madrid, so members of our team may read your message from either country. We do so only to reply to you, and with the security measures described in this notice.

You can ask us at any time, by writing to somos@shawnder.com:

  • In Mexico, your ARCO rights: to access your data, correct it, cancel it or object to its use, and to withdraw your consent.
  • In Spain and the European Union: access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability.

We'll ask only for what we need to confirm it's you, and we'll reply within the time limits the law sets. If you believe we haven't handled your request properly, you can file a complaint with the data protection authority: in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es); in Mexico, the competent federal authority for personal data protection.

This site is aimed at businesses. We do not knowingly process data from minors.

If the way we process data changes (for example, if we add a form), we'll update this notice before making the change.
